Come and join your St. Johns friends who set up their canopy or trunk with treats and decorations in front of our Education Building during the community night-out sponsored by the New Baltimore Recreation Department.
We put up large inflatables, play spooky music, start the smoke machine; wear costumes ourselves; and generally just get into the lighter spirit of Halloween. And we get to see a lot of little ones dressed up. This is a fun thing to do if you don’t give candy out at your home anymore, but miss the kiddies.
This year, we will have a kind of warming station for adults, inside the building who help our commititee pass out the treats; and all others who need a little warm chili, hot cider, or other beverage to keep them going.
We set up beginning at 5:00 P.M. and the kids come very soon after. We’ve given out 80-100 treats to the families walking down to the New Baltimore event downtown. We button it up about 8:00 P.M.
The day is Friday, October 25th. Hope you drop by! And, you can park your car in our lot instead of being bussed in from another lot farther away.
